Executive Officers' Biographies
President – Bryan Enochs
2008 will mark Bryan Enoch's eighth year as a member of the ISUG Board of Director and his first as the President. Prior to this year he spent two years as the Vice President of Products & Enhancements. Since joining the Board of Directors in 2001, Mr. Enochs has also served as the ISUG SIG Director (2001-2002), the North American User Group Director (2003-2004) and the Enhancements Director for Tools and Solutions (2005). He has also served as the Orlando Sybase Tools User Group President for the last 6 years. Bryan is a Senior Technical Staff manager at AT&T Solutions managing a team of PowerBuilder developers, and has been an advocate of Sybase technology since 1994. Mr. Enochs continues to explore ways for Sybase to support their user groups and increase the interest and use of Sybase technology. His own areas of expertise are in client/server, n-tier, distributed and web programming as well as being a senior Sybase DBA. He has been an ISUG member since 1996.
Vice President of Business Relations – Cynthia Gill
Cynthia Gill is Director of Marketing for Intertech Consulting, Inc. and has been a strong advocate for Sybase for many years. She has previously served as ISUG's V.P. of Finance/Treasurer from 2004-2006, Member-at-Large in 2002 and 2003, ISUG Journal Director in 2001, Conference Director from 1997-2000 and SIG Director in 1995 and 1996. Mrs. Gill successfully implemented the Virtual SIG concept within ISUG by forming the IMPACT SIG and the EDI Products/HIPAA SIG. She managed and implemented the first Sybase training facility in the Southwestern portion of the United States, and also served as past president of the Texas Sybase Users' Group for 3 years. Mrs. Gill's management and organizational skills have contributed to the conference coordination as well as other ISUG initiatives for the ISUG Board.
Vice President of Finance – Eric Van Patten
Eric Van Patten is an application architect with over 10 years experience in the client/server and distributed world. He works mainly with PowerBuilder, but has vast knowledge of other development tools as well. In addition, he has previously experienced life as a DBA and currently works with most major of databases in the marketplace. As a member of the ISUG Board of Directors, Mr. Van Patten has previously performed the duties of Vice President of Business Relations, ISUG Journal Director, and has also served as a member-at-large.
Vice President of Membership – Cindy Bean
Cindy Bean is the Manager of Pre-Sales Support for the Surveillance and DBControl products at Bradmark Technologies. She has been working with Sybase products for over 14 years as a DBA, consultant, and product manager. Cindy previously served on the ISUG Board of Directors for 8 years, as North American Regional User Group Director, Conference Director, President, Past President, Vice President of Events and Media, and now serves as the Vice President of Membership. She is currently the Secretary of the Sybase Users' Group of Texas, where she also served as President and Vice President. Cindy has been an ISUG member since 1995.
Secretary – Martin Clark
Martin Clark is President of Enable Development, a London-based software house and consultancy that develops companion products for PowerBuilder. He divides his time almost equally between Europe and Asia. While his companies have used PB since the late 1990s, Mr. Clark has been involved in software localization and distribution since 1989. His dotcom-era venture is still operating, albeit with reduced ambitions. As a UK chartered accountant, Mr. Clark also has broad multinational experience in chain retailing, business consultancy and audit at director level.

Mr. Clark is committed to working for the effective expansion of ISUG based on the practical needs of members.
Executive Director – Mike Harrold
Mike Harrold has been associated with ISUG for several years now, having spent four and a half years as a member of the Board of Directors before being hired as the organization's first Executive Director in June 2007. Before this, Mr. Harrold worked extensively with Sybase products, such as ASE, Replication Server, OpenSwitch and Sybase IQ in his prior life as a DBA.

A native of England, Mr. Harrold currently resides in the United States in Columbus, Ohio, with his wife, three daughters and two cats.

ISUG Directors' Biographies
European Regional User Group Director – Alex Pratt
Alex Pratt is a Senior Technical Consultant working for Sybase since 1999. He is an expert in a number of technologies, from development and design tools to data management servers. For the past 2 years Mr. Pratt has been focusing on .NET framework and how Sybase software can help Sybase employees and IT professionals in general become more productive.

Mr. Pratt has a BA(Hons) in Business Information Systems and Strategic Management.
North American Regional User Group Director – Chris Pollach
Chris Pollach is a Senior Consultant with over 25 years experience in Systems and Software Analysis, Development, Maintenance and Technical Support, mainly in the areas of GUI Design, MS-Windows Programming, Java / .NET Programming, Wireless, Application / Web Server Design & Programming, Object Oriented Development Tools and Methodologies, Database, Data Communications and Network application development. Mr. Pollach has participated in numerous technical, planning and management roles, as well as consulted and educated in these fields for a diverse clientele. He is also the owner Software Tool & Die Inc., a company dedicated to provide custom software and education solutions on Object Oriented business systems.

Committee Director – Anne Walker
Anne Walker has been in the IT industry for over 16 years and started using Sybase products back in 1994 as a Powerbuilder developer in the banking industry. She joined Sybase as a ASE consultant/trainer in 1998, and for the last five years has been the Sybase DBA with the Treasury department in St George Bank, Australia. Ms. Walker is the President of the Sydney based Sybase User group and has been working toward more Sybase User Groups in Australia. She is now serving on the Business Committee assisting with Marketing and Business directions of ISUG.

Committee Director – Pete Austin
Mr. Austin has over 20 years of IT experience with over 13 years of eCommerce and EDI experience, 7 of which is within healthcare, specifically payers. He is knowledgeable in the standards and methodologies of eCommerce and EDI implementations, having managed and developed numerous EDI and HIPAA systems in a wide variety of environments. Mr. Austin is a certified Project Management Professional.

Mr. Austin has also served as Director of eCommerce for a large data exchange and management company and is currently active in Sybase's international eCommerce/HIPAA User's Group as its president and sits on the ISUG Board of Directors

TeamSybase Liaison – Terry Voth
Terry Voth is an independent consultant with over 10 years experience with PowerBuilder, and over 15 years in the computer industry as a whole. With extensive experience in both the public and private sectors, he has worked in a wide mix of industry areas, primarily in Ontario, Canada. While focusing on PowerBuilder, he has also brought expertise, mentoring and troubleshooting for EAServer, PowerDesigner and StarTeam to architectural, design and construction phases of his projects. Mr. Voth has been a member of TeamSybase since 1993.
ISUG Editor – Adrian Bridgwater
Adrian Bridgwater a freelance journalist specialising in cross platform software application development as well as all related aspects of software engineering and project management.

In addition to his central role as editor of ISUG Technical Journal Adrian is a regular writer and blogger with ZDNet.co.uk covering the application development landscape to detail the movers, shakers and start-ups that make the industry the vibrant place that it is. Previously, Adrian was Editor of software engineering title International Developer for three years.

His journalistic creed is to bring forward-thinking, impartial, technology editorial to a professional (and hobbyist) software audience around the world. His mission is to objectively inform, educate and challenge - and through this champion better coding capabilities and ultimately better software engineering.

Adrian has worked as a freelance technology journalist and public relations consultant for over fifteen years. His work has been published in various international publications including the Wall Street Journal, CNET.com, The Register, BBC World Service magazines, Web Designer magazine, the UAE's Khaleej Times and SYS-CON's Web Developer's Journal. He has worked as technology editor for international travel & retail magazines and also produced annual technology industry review features for UK-based publishers ISC. Additionally, he works as a telecoms industry analyst for Business Monitor International.

In previous commercially focused roles, Adrian directed publicity work for clients including IBM, Microsoft, Compaq, Intel, Motorola, Computer Associates, Ascom, Infonet and RIM. Adrian has also conducted media training and consultancy programmes for companies including Sony-Ericsson, Symbian, IBM, RIM and Kingston Technology.

He is also a published travel writer and has lived and worked abroad for 10 years in Tanzania, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Italy and the United States.
SDN Liaison – Kreszentia "Chrissy" Kuhn
As Manager Community Marketing & Communication, EMEA, Ms. Kuhn is responsible for the Community Programs within Sybase, the Sybase Developer Network, Sybase User Groups and the Partner Community. She joined Sybase in 2001. Ms. Kuhn has more then 10 years experience in the IT industry. Before joining Sybase she worked for Compaq and supported the partner channel team. Ms. Kuhn has a BA in Marketing Communication.
